This race is planned to proceed rain or shine. in the event of severe or unsafe inclement weather on race day, all events may be delayed or cancelled. We appreciate your understanding that no refunds will be issued and that all race proceeds have been donated directly to the charity beneficiaries.
Meet Our Benefactors
The Cherokee County Educational Foundation is a charitable nonprofit dedicated to supporting students and staff in the Cherokee County School District by raising funds for grants, programs, and resources that enhance teaching, learning, and achievement beyond what public funding covers. It collaborates with local partners to provide financial support for innovative classroom projects, district initiatives, and student opportunities.
Cherokee County Special Olympics offers year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, promoting physical fitness, courage, joy, and community engagement for athletes and their families. The program fosters inclusion and friendship through local events and competitive opportunities across multiple sports disciplines.
About the Chick-fil-A Cherokee County 5K
Over the past 13 years, The Cherokee County Chick-fil-A 5K has donated over $500,000 to the Cherokee County Educational Foundation and Cherokee County Special Olympics. We are honored to continue raising funds these organizations at the 2026 Chick-fil-A Cherokee County 5K.
